In this series I’ve taken elements from French classic Provincial fabrics - pushing each into something more contemporary so that the subject is not necessarily identified as a French theme. The urns, pots, pitchers and plates were painted from actual vintage items that I discovered in my local brocante flea market at the Cours Saleya in Nice. The paintings have a realistic rustic quality as well as the slightest hint of pop art. They are done with acrylic, ink, and pastel.
